PRIVACY · UPDATED 24 SEPTEMBER 2026
Your research deserves care.
This policy explains how Business Insights Terminal handles information in the website and Article Capture browser extension.
Who operates the service
Business Insights Terminal is an invitation-only research workspace. Contact the operator at myxmark316@gmail.com for privacy, account or data requests.
Information we use
- Account information: Your sign-in provider’s account identifier, verified email, basic profile, chosen display name, onboarding progress, workspace membership, invitations and sign-in sessions. Google sign-in does not give us your Google password or access to Gmail or Drive. If you choose email/password sign-in, your password passes through our server over encrypted connections to Google Identity Platform for account creation or authentication. We do not store or log passwords; Google manages password hashes, email verification and password resets.
- Research you save: article titles, source URLs, available text, publication details, supported image URLs and captions, captures and files you choose to import.
- Your workspace activity: reading progress, bookmarks, notes, questions, conversations and the context you attach to AI requests.
- Operational information: request timing, error and security information used to run and protect the service. Hosting and DNS providers may process connection information such as IP addresses.
What the capture extension does
The extension reads the selected article page only when you use its capture controls. It extracts visible article content and supported image references and transfers a capture to this workspace when you choose Capture & save to library. It does not collect your browsing history in the background or read publisher passwords or cookies.
When you click Capture on a supported publisher PDF, the extension may request that exact PDF using the browser's temporary active-tab permission. The browser may attach existing publisher cookies; the extension does not read or export those cookies. The import page extracts text in your browser and saves the original PDF, extracted text, page references and source information to the workspace. If the browser request is unavailable, the workspace may try a public PDF request or let you select a downloaded file, without transferring publisher login details.
Captured publisher PDF originals are stored in private Google Cloud Storage and are accessible only to authorized workspace members. The original supplies images, charts, tables and page layout; extracted text and page references support search and AI research. We retain the source link, file size and content hash to verify files and reuse identical files for the same article. The extension's pending copy is cleared, while the saved original remains under the retention rules below. Private uploads and chat attachments keep their own access scope; this feature does not make them shared team research.
Browser permissions are limited to the active tab, running the capture script on that tab, and extension storage. Pending transfers are held in browser session storage with a ten-minute access window; expired transfers are discarded when the broker next checks its storage. Local extension storage also remembers your non-sensitive interface-language preference. A downloaded capture file remains on your device until you remove it.
Why information is processed and who receives it
We use this information to provide sign-in, reading, search, saving, research assistance and workspace administration. Google Cloud hosts the application and database; Cloudflare provides domain and DNS services. Publisher retrieval requests may use ZenRows when enabled.
When you ask the AI for help, your request, relevant conversation history and selected or retrieved research context are sent to the configured AI provider. OpenAI supports research assistance; when enabled, DeepSeek handles requested Chinese article translations and conversion of Chinese search queries for English-source retrieval. A translation request sends the retained article text. Cached translations follow the source's access: authorized team articles can be reused within that team, while translations of private documents stay private. Search-query translation caches are also personal. The extension itself does not call an AI provider. Opening a publisher link or loading its hosted images also connects your browser to that publisher or image host.
We do not sell personal information or use captured content for advertising. Information is shared with service providers to deliver these functions, with your team as described below, and when necessary to meet legal requirements or protect the service.
Article Capture and Limited Use
Our use and transfer of information obtained through Article Capture follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy , including its Limited Use requirements. We use that information to provide and support the capture, saving, reading and research features described here. We do not use it for unrelated profiling, sell it, or use or transfer it for personalized advertising.
Transfers are limited to what is necessary for those features, security or legal obligations. Service operators may read identifiable captured content with your explicit consent for a specific support request, when necessary for security, or when required by law. Internal operational analysis otherwise uses aggregated, anonymized information. Sharing articles with authorized members of your chosen workspace is part of the capture feature, as explained below.
Shared research, personal work
Articles in the team Archive, their retained text and captured publisher PDF originals are shared with authorized workspace members. Private uploads and their translations remain scoped to their owner. Notes, reading progress, bookmarks and conversations are scoped to your account in the application. Workspace administrators manage membership. Operator access to captured content follows the Limited Use restrictions above. Private articles and research are not included in the public demonstration.
Storage, retention and your choices
The current hosted database is in Google Cloud’s Taiwan region. Other providers may process information in other countries. Saved research is retained for continuing workspace use, including earlier versions needed to preserve notes. Deleting an item from a personal library does not necessarily delete a copy shared in the team Archive.
You can stop capturing at any time, remove the extension, and use available workspace export and deletion controls. For account deletion, correction, an export or removal of shared content, contact the operator. We may retain limited information for security or legal obligations; backup copies expire according to the backup retention schedule. Essential session cookies support sign-in and security. A language preference cookie remembers your interface language.
Public demos and team inquiries
The public demo uses prepared public article examples and commentary; it does not read your workspace. Saved demo insights are remembered as sample article, question mode and selected source identifiers in this browser's local storage so you can continue the demonstration later. These records are separate from your workspace account and are not private notes. Remove entries from the demo's Saved area, or clear this site's browser data.
The team inquiry form prepares an email draft on the current page. It does not submit your entries to our server or send them automatically. You can copy or download the draft, or open it in your email app and send it yourself. An email you send is processed by your email provider and our contact mailbox.
Security and policy changes
We use HTTPS, server-side secrets, account-scoped access checks and short-lived capture handoffs. No service can guarantee absolute security. We update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. Questions or concerns can be sent to myxmark316@gmail.com.
